Naxos Records has announced the release of Chinese violinist Tianwa Yang‘s new album: Brahms.

Recorded with conductor Antoni Wit, cellist Gabriel Schwabe and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the disc features Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D Major – coupled with Brahms’ Double Concerto for Violin & Cello in A Minor.

“The Brahms Concerto is one of the greatest works ever written for the violin … and for myself this is a work which I know will accompany me my whole life as a violinist …” Tianwa has told The Violin Channel.

“There will be differences between my 20-year-old interpretation, 30-year-old-interpretation and later of course … so it feels very special to record this monumental work at a certain point of my life and be able to look back on it later,’ she has said.
